PHARR – Juan Guzman De Morales, 89, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in San Luis de la Paz, GTO, Mexico, Juana had lived in Pharr most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Morales; a daughter, Mary Joe; two grandchildren, Sandra Dee Joe and Richard Luis Avelar.
Juana is survived by a daughter, Maria Morales Mendez; eight grandchildren, Martha Mendez (Michael Sandoval), Maria L. Mendez Tozzi, Francisca Mendez Ward, Jose (Terry) Morales, Bobby Joe (Monica) Avelar, Edward Thomas Avelar, Roger Wayne (Erika) Avelar, Arvin (Reyna) Jake; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Jacob Joe; and a brother-in-law, Faustino Morales.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, May 8, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
