GUILLERMO GUZMAN
PHARR - Guillermo Guzman, 85, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Mission, Mr. Guzman lived in Pharr most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Agustina M. Guzman; a brother, Federico Guzman; and a grandson, Wilfred A. Garza.
Mr. Guzman is survived by his wife, Elvia Guzman of Pharr; eight children, Diana G. (Juan) Hernandez, Jesus (Gloria) Guzman, both of Pharr, Santos (Linda) Guzman, Guillermo (Paula) Guzman, Jr. both of San Juan, Sandra (Greg) Cantu of Mount Dora, Florida, Jacinto (Mary) Guzman of Edinburg, Carlos (Victoria) Guzman of Greely, Colorado, Idalia (Cesar Gutierrez) Guzman of Pharr; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sara Arredondo and Eusebia Navarro both of Mission.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, June 19, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
