HECTOR A. PEREZ

PHARR– Hector A. Perez, 68, went to be with the Lord, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. 

Hector A. Perez dedicated his life in helping his family, friends, and neighbors in fixing cars, cutting yards, trimming trees, and just about anything that needed fixing. He was known as a jack of all trades. Hector was so loved by so many, because he gave himself whole heartedly without expecting anything in return.

There wasn’t a person that would ask him for help in fixing something that he would deny. He never accepted monies or compensation in return. All he ever asked for was a glass of water or a cup of coffee. Hector was a simple and very special man, few people in this world have the considerate, unselfish, loving heart, that he had. Because of these qualities he was well loved by his family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Hector A. Perez will forever be remembered! 

Mr. Hector Perez is survived by his wife, Maria Del Rosario Perez; three daughters, Claritza Perez, Annette Perez (Eric) Trevino, and Czarina Lynay; seven grandchildren, Czarina Lynay, Darrian and Derrick Garza, Raelynn Jae, Zoie Trevino, Emrie Jade Trevino, and Everlie Rose Trevino;and his eight siblings, Jose (Eloina) Perez, Odilia (Rick) Martinez, Oralia Perez, Aida (Celedonio) Garza, Etelvina (Rogelio) Ramos, Juanita (Alfonso) Luna, Jesusita (Aurelio) Garza, Oscar Perez.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service,Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Magic Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.  Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
