HECTOR MANUEL SALINAS

EDINBURG - Hector Manuel Salinas, age 84, born in Los Herreras, Mexico, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. 

For 50 years, Hector owned Hector's Barber Shop, where his hard work and dedication earned him the respect of the community. His passion for his work and outgoing personality forged lasting relationships with countless customers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Hector will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, his strong work ethic, and his bright spirit. His legacy of joy and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death and reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, Maria and Lazaro Salinas; sister, Mary; and his brother, Arnold Salinas. 

Mr. Salinas is survived by his lovely wife of 60 years, Gloria Salinas; proud father to three children, Hector (Liza) Salinas Jr., Carlos (Celinda) Salinas, and Dr. Karla (Pedro) De Luna, who will forever cherish the values he instilled in them; beloved grandfather to 13 grandchildren; great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Ophelia, Gilbert, Phillip, Arturo, Laura, Jorge, Lazaro Jr. and Micheal. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. 

Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. 

Rest in peace, Hector. You will be deeply missed.
