McALLEN - Dalia Ruiz Herber, 62, passed away on, July 13th, 2016, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. Until the very end, her faith in God carried her through the painful fight with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert G. Ruiz and Lucia M. Ruiz; and a brother, Ernesto Ruiz.
Dalia is survived by her husband, Roy W. Herber; two sons, H. Ryan (Alma) Herber and K. Bradley Herber; two grandchildren, Madeline Skye Herber and Aiden Donovan Herber; four siblings, Linda (Ramiro) Perez, Robert (+Dujuana Benoit) Ruiz Jr., Richard (Laura) Ruiz and Eddie (Sylvia) Ruiz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dalia was born in Edinburg, Texas. Her goal in life was to raise her sons with loving care, and always wanted the best for them. She was caring and supportive to her husband of 41 years, the love of her life. She was a dedicated grandmother to her grandchildren, giving all she could to bring them happiness.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. memorial service July 15, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Center Church in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
