ANCELMO M. HERNANDEZ, SR.
SAN JUAN - Ancelmo M. Hernandez, Sr., 64, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Mr. Hernandez was born in San Juan and had lived there most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria De Jesus Hernandez; two brothers, Raul Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez; and two sisters, Olinda Hernandez and Ana Maria Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Hernandez of San Juan; former spouse, Socorro Palomo of Edinburg; six children, Anselmo (Elia) Hernandez, Jr., Melissa Hernandez, both of McAllen, David (Adelina) Hernandez of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Esteban (Isabel) Hernandez, Norma Hernandez, both of Edinburg and Ruben Hernandez of Pharr; 11 grandchildren; his father, Vicente Hernandez, Sr. of Pharr; six brothers, Jose Jaime Hernandez of Edinburg, Armando Hernandez of McAllen, Rigoberto Hernandez of San Juan, Vicente Hernandez, Jr., Robert Hernandez, both of Pharr and Daniel Hernandez of Boston, Massachusetts; and five sisters, Maria Magdalena Ruiz of Lubbock, Texas, Minerva Nava, Ofelia Medrano, Maryann Tovar, all of San Juan and Dora Zuniga of Austin, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
