PHARR - Dolores Hernandez, 93, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at San Juan Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hernandez was born in Pharr and had lived there all of her life. She was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Hernandez; her parents, Melecio and Guadalupe Zuniga; a sister, Paula Rivera; and four brothers, Carlos, Manuel, Juan and Pascual Zuniga.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by a sister, Carmen Lopez of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, August 4, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment of cremated remains will be at 10 a.m.,Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
