SAN JUAN - Dora Hernandez, 57, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Valle Hermoso, Tamps., Mexico, Mrs. Hernandez had lived in San Juan most of her life and was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her father, Felipe Salinas; and a sister, Guadalupe Ulloa.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband, Rigoberto Hernandez; three children, Rigoberto Hernandez, Jr., Priscilla M. Hernandez and Randy Hernandez, all of San Juan; two grandchildren, Milagros Torres and Silvestre Torres; her mother, Aurora Salinas of San Juan; two brothers, Felipe Salinas of Indio, California, Manuel Salinas of Pharr; and four sisters, Elida Aguirre of Weslaco, Maria Garcia of Edcouch, Emma Navarro of San Juan and Elvira Trevino of Pasco, Washington.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, March 19, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
