EDINBURG- Eddie R. Hernandez, 67, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Patulul, Guatamala and formerly of Chicago, Ill., Mr. Hernandez had lived in Edinburg for the past three years. He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Amanda Hernandez. Eddie will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Elisa Hernandez of Edinburg; two sons, Edward (Tammy) Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez both of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren; a brother, Leo Hernandez of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Grace Hernandez of Chicago, Ill., and Haydee Ortiz of Whiting, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, April 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the American Caner Society 5413 McColl Road, Edinburg, Texas 78539.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
