Elva Hernandez

Elva Hernandez, 64, was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Taylor, TX, she had lived in Edinburg all of her life.
Elva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg and was employed by Edinburg CISD for 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Revecca Trevino; and a sister, Soila T. Mendez.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband of 43 years, Daniel Hernandez; two daughters, Monique Hernandez, Ruby (Cristo Dominguez) Hernandez, all of Edinburg; a granddaughter, Crystal Lee Dominguez; six sisters, Angelica T. (Ezequiel) Farias, Florinda T. Lopez, Olivia (Robert) Garza, Rosalinda Trevino, all of Edinburg, Norma Linda (Martin) Mendoza of Naples, FL, San Juana Trevino of Edinburg; two brothers, Gregorio Trevino of Minnesota, Juan (Ana) Trevino II of Hargill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
A reception will take place immediately following the funeral at Memorial Event Center, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
