EDINBURG – Elvia G. Hernandez, 76, entered into the presence of the Lord Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Elvia loved her family unconditionally with all of her heart. She always had a way of bringing out a smile on the faces of all who knew her. Her love and wittiness made every moment with her special. We will continue to hold her dearly in our hearts and cherish all of the loving memories.
She is preceded in death by her son, Julian Hernandez Jr.; parents, Jose Pedro and Maria Conrada Gomez; three siblings, Maria De Los Angeles, Arnulfo, and Luis.
Left to cherish Elvia’s memories are her husband, Juan Hernandez Sr.; seven children, Juan (Elena) Hernandez Jr., Jose Luis (Vicky) Hernandez, Javier (Engie) Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez, Elvia H. (Luis) Guerrero, Elizabet (Ajani) Green, Joel Hernandez; widowed daughter-in-law, Lucy Hernandez (widow of Julian Hernandez Jr.); 12 grandchildren, Johnny, Joe Jr., Cassy (Jake), Elizette, Julian Jr., Jacob, Kimberly, Javier Jr., Luis, Gerardo, Zaniyah, Ziomara; five siblings, Aurora, Armandina, Pedro, Petra, and Yolanda.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
