Florentino "Tino Boy" A. Hernandez, 79, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Florentino retired from PSJA ISD after 29 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and Guadalupe Hernandez; a grandson, Joey Hernandez; two precious angels; two siblings, Juana Garcia and Arcardio Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Juanita A. Hernandez; seven children, Florentino (Beate) Hernandez Jr., Joe (Sandra) Hernandez, Stella Hernandez, Jesus (Claudia) Hernandez, Ruben (Gabby) Hernandez, Elizabeth (Lucas) Rodriguez, Roy (Janet) Hernandez; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Pita, Toya, Martina, Chuy, Gil, Andres, Juan Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
