ALAMO- Juanita Hernandez, 69, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at her residence in Alamo.
Juanita was born in Alamo, lived in Indiana for 30 years and returned home in 2002. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Mrs. Hernandez was a strong woman who dedicated her life to her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, Juan Javier Hernandez; and mother, Maria Hernandez.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband, Javier Hernandez of Alamo; four children, Corina (Daniel) Amador, Norma Hernandez, Anthony (Lupe) Hernandez, all of Indiana, Blanca Hernandez of Alamo; six grandchildren, Jessica (Julian), Angela, Michael S., Michael A., Daniel, Paula; five sisters; two brothers; and Lenny Ratkay.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
