Maria D. Hernandez

EDINBURG – Maria D. Hernandez, 70, went home to our Lord Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Retama Manor Nursing Home in Edinburg.
Born in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, MX, Mrs. Hernandez had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Calixto Hernandez; and her parents, Jose and Maria Lopez.
Mrs. Hernandez is survived by three children, Eva (Juan Nino) Gonzalez of Mercedes, Evaristo Gonzalez, and Julian (Gregoria) Hernandez, both of Edinburg; four grandchildren, Juan Julian and Arath Julian Hernandez, both of Edinburg, Diego and Juan Nino III, both of Mercedes; four siblings, Javier Lopez, Araceli Palomo, Josefina Lopez, and Norma Infante, all of Mercedes.
Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
