SAN JUAN - Nicolasa Hernandez was called home by the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2011, surrounded by her family.
Born on February 10, 1926 in Pettus, Texas to Alejandro and Rosa Longoria, Nicolasa lived a full and happy life. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Rosa Longoria; one brother; six sisters; and a great granddaughter, Alessandra A. Hernandez.
Left to honor and cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Teodoro “Lolo” Hernandez and their children, Guillermo (Becky) Hernandez, of Alexandria, VA, Nora Keith of Wichita, KS, Antonio (Oralia), Roberto, Alfredo, Adela, Javier and Teodoro Jr. (Ana) Hernandez, all of San Juan, TX. Also surviving her are 13 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a sister, Eloisa Pardo, of San Juan, TX.
Visitation will take place today, September 20, 2011, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a 7:00 p.m. rosary, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
