OTILIO HERNANDEZ EDINBURG/PHARR — Otilio Hernandez, 83, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, he had lived in Edinburg since 1997 and was formerly of Pharr. Otilio was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who adored his family. He was a hard-working man who enjoyed carpentry, gardening and tending to his goats. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruperta Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez is survived by seven children, Jose G. Hernandez, Rosa M. Ochoa, Sandra (Angel) Carrion, all of McAllen, Sylvia M. (Ricardo) Guajardo, of Nampa, Idaho, Diana Enriquez, Anjel (Linda) Hernandez, both of Edinburg, Anna D. (Carlos) Sanchez, of Hidalgo; nine grandchildren, Erica (Allan) Guzman, Carlos (Jazzel) Sanchez Jr., Andrew Sanchez, Bryan Sanchez, Sabrina Hernandez, Nalyssa Enriquez, Arturo Ochoa III, Melody Hernandez, Marcos Alvarez; and a great-grandchild, Benjamin Sanchez; four siblings, Pablo Hernandez, Ramona Rodriguez, Bertha Vega, all of General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, Jesus Hernandez, of Reynosa, Tamps.; and a step-brother, Jesus Hernandez, of California. The family would like to give special thanks to Eddie Sanchez of First Choice Healthcare, his providers, Sandra Vasquez and Vicky Camarillo, and his doctors, Dr. Yuri Bermudez and Dr. Mangoo, for the excellent care given to our father. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, April 3, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
