Rosa R. Hernandez

EDINBURG / SAN ANTONIO – Rosa R. Hernandez, 79, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at her residence in San Antonio. Born in Runge, TX, Rosa had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a current resident of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nieves and Eulogia Rodriguez; two sons, Noe Hernandez and Joel Hernandez; a daughter, Marta H. Perez; and four siblings.
Rosa is survived by six children, Beatriz (John) Coleman, Juan Hernandez, Jr., both of Milan, MI, Joel Hernandez of McAllen, Felipe (Sandra) Hernandez of Edinburg, Jose Hernandez of McAllen, Patricia (Jerry) Huerta of San Antonio; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Domingo Rodriguez of Burnet, TX, Norberto Rodriguez of Utah; a sister, Cresencia Guerrero of Mission; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. eulogy Friday, April 8, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
