Juan Hernandez Soria, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at McAllen Medical Center. Our beloved father was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato, MX. He lived in the United States where he was a resident for 50 years but always enjoyed going back to his hometown to visit. He was a very happy and humble person with a generous heart. Dad always did his best to help others in need. He loved music, playing guitar, singing, dancing and soccer. His favorite soccer team was Las Chivas de Guadalajara. He would always ask for chile to be added to his food, any type of salsa as long as it was spicy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing stories from his childhood and the ranchito he was from. His legacy is that of a good and loving man. We will miss his smile, his talks and cherish all the moments shared with him. He will forever be in our hearts. We celebrate his life as he has gone before us, and know we will one day meet again. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Hernandez and Victoria Soria. Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Imelda Hernandez; ten children, Criselda (David) Garza, Marissa (Ryan) Harris, Juan Carlos (Giovanna) Hernandez, Alejandro (Yolanda) Hernandez, Sophia (Rosendo) Benavides, Jose Juan (Estela) Hernandez, Luis (Cecilia) Hernandez, Hector (Elda) Hernandez, Maria Hernandez, Yessica (Jose Luis) Reyes; 28 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Romualdo Hernandez.
