RAUDEL “RAUDY” HERRERA SAN JUAN — Raudel “Raudy” Herrera, 42, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Comfort House in McAllen. Born in McAllen, he had lived in San Juan all of his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Rafael Herrera; and a sister-in-law, Christina Guajardo. Mr. Herrera is survived by his wife, Liza Herrera, of San Juan; two children, Raudel Ramon Herrera, and Priscilla Nicole Herrera, both of San Juan; two special nieces, Chelsea Rea Guajardo, and Katelynn Danielle Guajardo, both of San Juan; mother, Beatrice Herrera, of San Juan; seven siblings, Ralph Herrera, of McAllen, Rolando Herrera, of San Antonio, Roy Enrique (Erika) Herrera, of San Diego, CA, Victor Herrera of Abeline, Rafael Rey Herrera, of Alamo, Rachel Ivy Herrera, of Edinburg, and Rebecca Dora Herrera, of Alamo; grandmother, Beatriz Landez, of San Juan; mother and father-in-law, Noelia and Ramon Guajardo, of San Juan; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 19, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Special thanks to Michele Sandoval and the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice as well as the staff of Comfort House in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
