RAUL "CUATE" HERRERA
SAN JUAN - Raul "Cuate" Herrera, 63, died Sunday, February 8, 2009 at his residence in San Juan.
Born in Alamo, Mr. Herrera had lived in San Juan all of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Petra Herrera; and two brothers, Santos Marmolejo and Lionel Herrera.
Mr. Herrera is survived by a son, Raul Herrera, Jr.; a daughter, Diana Herrera, both of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Alfredo Marmolejo of Idalou, Texas, Ruben Herrera of Chattanooga, Tennessee; four sisters, Angelita De La Cruz of Alamo, Maria Alvarado of San Juan, Alicia Montelongo of Hale Center, Texas and Ninfa Elridge of Dallas, Georgia.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, February 12, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Santos Marmolejo, Jr., Lito De La Cruz, Tonio De La Cruz, Ernesto Palacios, Frankie Trejo and Raul Rojas, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be George Alvarado.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
