MARIA ESPERANZA HINOJOSA
EDINBURG – Maria Esperanza Hinojosa, 91, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hinojosa was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of her life. She was a member of El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg and retired from the E.C.I.S.D. after 35 years of service. Mrs. Hinojosa volunteered with the Auxiliary at Edinburg Regional Medical Center and was a member of Ladies of the Round Table.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rafael R. Hinojosa; her parents, Jose and Guadalupe Guerra; two brothers, Jose and Homero Guerra; one sister, Hilda Rodriguez.
Mrs. Hinojosa is survived by her sons; Ralph J. Hinojosa of Austin, Texas, and Ruben E. (Diana) Hinojosa of Edinburg; two granddaughters, Leanne Maria Hinojosa and Myranda Elizabeth Hinojosa both of Edinburg; a sister, Alma Tamarelo of Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, October 16, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
