Ofelia F. Hinojosa, 83, born in San Javier, Nuevo Leon, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at her residence in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Maria Luisa Franco; four sisters, Olivia Sifuentes, Estella Hinojosa, Olga Rios, Elida Salinas; and one brother, Rene Franco.
Mrs. Hinojosa is survived by her husband, Jose Ovidio Hinojosa; seven children, Ovidio (Francis) Hinojosa Jr., Ruben (Amelia) Hinojosa, Eden (Maria) Hinojosa, Raul (Cynthia) Hinojosa, Ricardo (Irma) Hinojosa, Bernardo (Rachel) Hinojosa, Maria Guadalupe (Ramon) Salinas; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four siblings, Hilaria Ramos, Margarita Melchor, Maria Luisa Franco, and Guadalupe Franco.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, October 11, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
