HILARIO HUERTA EDINBURG - Hilario Huerta, 70, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at McAllen Medical Center. Mr. Huerta was born in Edinburg and lived there all of his life. Mr. Huerta spent 40 plus years as the manager and operator of Fisca Gas Station in Edinburg. Some of Hilario's favorite pastimes was going to the mall, leisure outings to Las Flores, Mexico, and spending time with his family, surrounded by his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Adela Huerta; two sisters, Gloria Zapata and Maria Gutierrez. Hilario is survived by his wife, Maria Elena Huerta of Edinburg; two sons, Jerry (Patricia) Huerta of San Antonio, TX and Adolfo Rene Huerta of Edinburg; three daughters, Rachel (Roel Ramos) Huerta of Edinburg, Nancy (Joe Ramos) Huerta of McAllen, Nereida (Gilbert) Mercado of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren; five siblings, Remigio Huerta of Edinburg, Lare Huerta of Houston, TX, Abelardo Huerta of Round Rock, TX, Adela Huerta, and Eloisa Macal, both of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 2, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral service are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
