Maria Del Carmen Islas, 56, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at her residence in Alamo.
Born in Alamo she lived there all of her life. "Mom: best friend, confidant, superhero, teacher, but best of all, mom. Mom, you are the true definition of mother, kind heart, kindred spirit, and a one of kind smile. Thank you for all the life lessons, tears, and joy that you brought into our lives. For you mom are kind and beautiful and will always be mama to us. We will miss you every day. See you again mom!" Love your three girls, Renee, Rachel, and Riana Islas.
Mrs. Islas is survived by her husband, Javier Islas of Alamo; three daughters, Renee, Rachel, and Riana Islas; her parents, Juan and Amparo Beltran, all of Alamo; three sisters, Lorena (Octavio) Almanza of Alamo, Silva (Ruben) Pedroza of McAllen, Claudia Beltran of Alamo; two brothers, Juan Manuel (Lourdes) Beltran, Jr., and Ricardo "Rick" Beltran, both of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
