EDCOUCH - Jimmy Jackson, 82, died Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Pax Villa Hospice and Palliative Care in McAllen.
Born in Kilgore, Texas, Mr. Jackson had lived in Edinburg most of his life and spent the last 10 years in the Delta Area. He was a member of Lyford Baptist Church and the owner of J and J Electric. He loved bowling, fishing, and family time.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doye Jackson, and a son, Michael Jackson.
Jimmy is survived by his companion, Emma McDonald of Edcouch; two children, Micki (Tom) Yarrison of Edcouch and Sandra (Danny) Settle of McAllen; daughter-in-law, Mary Jackson of Edinburg; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., with a memorial service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
