Javier F. Cavazos

Javier F. Cavazos Sr., 67, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at McAllen Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gabina Buenrostro; and brother, Ricardo Cavazos.
Mr. Cavazos is survived by his wife, Agustina Cavazos; four children, Javier Francisco (Joanie) Cavazos Jr., Susana Castillo, Joel Antonio (Irene) Cavazos, and Jessica (Samuel) Cavazos; eight grandchildren, Javier Cruz, Angela, Joel Elijah, Daisdy, Isaac, Isai, Diem, and Samantha; one great-grandchild, Fernando; and two siblings, Jose Buenrostro and Joaquin Zarate.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
