SAN JUAN - Joe Pat Jenson, Jr., 53, died Sunday, November 21, 2010, at his residence in San Juan.
Born in Laredo, Texas, Mr. Jenson had lived in San Juan most of his life.
He was a very loving husband and father who was loved by many people. All who knew him and met him fell in love with his warmth, generosity, sense of humor and his beautiful smile.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe P. Jenson Sr.; a brother, James C. Jenson; and his in-laws, Jose O. and Lidia Cerda.
Mr. Jenson is survived by his wife, Maria E. "Helen" Cerda Jenson, of San Juan; a daughter, Julie Ann Jenson, of Austin, Texas; a son, James Jenson, of San Juan; his mother, Beatrice Jenson, of McAllen; a brother, John T. Jenson, of Lawton, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Gina Conville, of McAllen and Jackie Cochran, of Charleston, South Carolina.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, November 22, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
