SAN JUAN - Jesusa S. Jimenez, 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at her residence in San Juan.
Born in Matehuala, S.L.P., Mexico, Mrs. Jimenez had lived in San Juan most of her life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her her husband, Salvador D. Jimenez, Sr.; a son, Jose Oscar Jimenez, Sr.; her parents, Lucio and Emilia Sauceda; four brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Jimenez is survived by five children, Salvador S. (Dora) Jimenez, Jr., Fernando S. (Norma) Jimenez, Edwardo S. (Emilia) Jimenez, Rosario Jimenez, all of San Juan and Juan M. (Margaret G.) Jimenez of Edinburg; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Estella C. Jimenez of Mission; and a brother, Juan Sauceda of Elsa.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, July 6, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
