MARIA JIMENEZ PHARR — Maria Jimenez, 86, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Miss Jimenez had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. She was employed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in McCook for 33 years. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Santos Jimenez and Francisco Jimenez; and two sisters, Alicia Garza and Tomasita Torres. Miss Jimenez is survived by two sons, Jose Santos (Raquel) Jimenez, of Rossville, Illinois, Joel (Ana) Jimenez, of San Juan; three grandchildren, Joey, Elisa and Joanna Jimenez; a brother, Rafael (Adelfa) Jimenz, of Santa Maria, California; a sister-in-law, Consuelo Jimenez, of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 25, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church Parish Hall in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
