JOSE MARIA "CHUY" RODRIGUEZ
PHARR - Jose Maria "Chuy" Rodriguez, 90, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 7, 2015, at Grand Terrace in McAllen.
Mr. Rodriguez was born in Edinburg and lived in Pharr most of his life. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving father and devoted husband.
He is preceded in death by a son, Rodrigo Rodriguez; a grandson, Ricardo Lopez; and a brother, Carlos Rodriguez.
Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Lilia Rodriguez of Pharr; two sons, Gabriel (Mary) Rodriguez of Donna and Rolando Rodriguez (Elvira Leal) of Mercedes; five daughters, Gracie R. (Don) Yielding of Arlington, Idalia (Joe) Barrera of San Juan, Rosalinda (Joaquin) Cantu of Kingsville, Rachel Legler of Alamo, Rosario (Rafael) Acosta of Pharr; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
