JOSE REMIGIO “REMMIE” MORIN

EDINBURG – Jose Remigio “Remmie” Morin, 83, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his residence in Edinburg. 

Born in Edinburg, Remmie was employed for 32 years at International Paper Company in Edinburg, and was a New York Yankees fan. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Morin; and son, Joe Morin. 

Mr. Morin is survived by his four daughters, Belinda Morin, Elisa Morin (Bobby) Medrano, Norma Morin (Angel) Paez, Rosie “Lari” Morin (Junior) Medrano; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Richard Quijas, Bobby Quijas, Ray Quijas, Ramon Quijas, Hilda Quijas Long, Dolores Gosy, Belinda Quijas Rush, Rita May Porter; and three beloved pets, Kobe, Dobby and Luna.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
