JOSE REMIGIO “REMMIE” MORIN
EDINBURG – Jose Remigio “Remmie” Morin, 83, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg, Remmie was employed for 32 years at International Paper Company in Edinburg, and was a New York Yankees fan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Morin; son, Joe Morin; and sister, Juanita Morin Lopez.
Mr. Morin is survived by his four daughters, Belinda Morin, Elisa Morin (Bobby) Medrano, Norma Morin (Angel) Paez, Rosie “Lari” Morin (Junior) Medrano; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Richard Quijas, Bobby Quijas, Ray Quijas, Ramon Quijas, Hilda Quijas Long, Dolores Gosy, Belinda Quijas Rush, Rita May Porter; and three beloved pets, Kobe, Dobby and Luna.
He will be missed and loved by many, as he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and overall, an amazing person.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
