Julia Chasco Juarez

JULIA CHASCO JUAREZ PHARR — Julia Chasco Juarez, 79, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Julia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is remembered by her family for her integrity, determination, charisma and especially for her love towards everyone. She loved cooking and dancing tejano music. She is preceded in death by her husband, Baltazar Juarez; a daughter, Fidela Salazar; a son, Baldemar Juarez; and her parents, Domingo Chasco and Paula Carrillo. Julia is survived by five children, Antonio Juarez (Carmela), of Pharr, Mary Ledesma (Julian), of Port Lavaca, Francisco Juarez, of McAllen, Jose Juarez (Senaida), Elizabeth Ramirez (Baldomero), both of Pharr; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Magge Chasco, and Domingo Chasco. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. talk Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
