Irma G. Keefer, 81, entered eternal rest Thursday, May 26, 2022, surrounded by her family at home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Irma was a devoted wife and mother who would move mountains for her husband and children. Irma and Dick had the kind of love for each other that every couple wishes they had. We can still remember countless times where you would see them walking down the street hand in hand. Irma was very active in both community and church. Everyone that knew Irma had their lives touched by a very special person. She will be greatly missed by all and may God bless her soul.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Keefer and her parents, Fidel and Gregoria Baldazo.
Mrs. Keefer is survived by two brothers, Fidel Baldazo, Jr. and Luis "Jaime" Baldazo. She met the love of her life, Dick, and they raised four children together, Richard, Sherree, Kenneth, and Javier (Jay). In addition, she had eleven grandchildren, James, Lisa, Melissa, Christopher, Stuart, Nathaniel, Hannah, Noah, Thomas, Andrew, and Bryan. She also had eight great-grandchildren, Alex, Gavin, Levi, Gwen, Kennedy, Zayden, Aubrie, and Oliver.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, 226 South Alamo Road, Alamo, TX.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Irma Keefer.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
