WILBUR LEWIS KING
EDINBURG – Wilbur Lewis King, 39, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Comfort House in McAllen.
Born in Alice, Texas, Mr. King had lived in Edinburg for 20 years and was a member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Edinburg.
Mr. King is preceded in death by his aunt, Brenda Sue King; and maternal grandmother, Susie King.
He is survived by wife, Belinda King; two children, Diandra Lynn King and Josiah Jamaal King all of Edinburg; his parents, Jocelyn King of Alice, Texas and Bruce McDonald of Robstown, Texas; five sisters, Tanya Garza, of Houston, Texas, Daytra King, Marilyn King, Demetrius King and Kathleen Pearl Journet all of Alice, Texas; a brother, Michael King, of Alice, Texas and mother and father-in-law, Maria Flora and Leobardo Gaytan, of Mercedes.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, January 14, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 15, 2010, at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Comfort House, 617 Dallas, McAllen, TX 78501.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
