Estella G. Latin

April 8, 1973 — June 4, 2013

SAN JUAN - On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, our loving Estella stepped peacefully into the glorious arms of our Heavenly Father. She fought a brief , but courageous battle with breast cancer, and is now cancer free. Estella was a beautiful spirit with a gentle heart and an infectious laugh. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher and dear friend to many. We were blessed to have been loved by her and to have shared everlasting memories. Estella dedicated her life to doing everything passionately. She worked hard, played hard and loved hard. Her joys were traveling with her loving husband Eddie and friends; spending time with her "club"; spending time with her family and lovingly supporting her nephews and niece at numerous school and sporting events. She was a colleague and teacher with the PSJA ISD family where she taught for 12 years and will forever leave a legacy in our community. Estella was born on April 8, 1973, in Indio, California and had lived in San Juan most of her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Arturo Gonzalez. Mrs. Latin is survived by her husband, Eduardo Roberto Latin, of San Juan; her mother, Amelia G. Gonzalez, of San Juan; three siblings, Gilberto (Ana) Gonzalez, Sylvia (Frank ) Montaño, Jr., both of Edinburg and Jose Arturo Gonzalez, Jr., of San Juan; six nephews, Justin D. Montaño , Frankie J. Latin, of San Juan; two brothers-in-law, Carlos R. Latin, of San Juan and Joseph R. (Herica P.) Latin, of Edinburg. The Latin and Gonzalez families would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Eugenio Galindo and staff; Ruby Herrera; Palmer Elementary students and staff; PSJA ISD and to Estella's many dear friends, colleagues and family members for your support and prayers throughout Estella's journey to heaven.
