JOSE “JOE” LEAL
MCALLEN –Jose “Joe” Leal, 77, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at his residence in McAllen.
Born in Pharr, TX, Mr. Leal lived in McAllen most of his life.
He was an U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea, a loving father and grandfather. For many years he was a Mr. Mom as our mother had passed away and he played both roles doing the best he could. Dad, we love you and thank you so much for all you did for us.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Olga Leal; a sister, Alma Rocha; a brother, Pete Leal.
Mr. Leal is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Ursulo) Leal- Robles, of McAllen, his son, Rick (Carol) Leal of San Antonio; four grandchildren; Mitchell Leal, Nicholas, Brandon and Marisa Grijalva; four sisters, Irma Moreno, Cari Villareal, Kathy Grove, Olga Bazan; four brothers, Robert Leal, Rosendo Leal, Fred Leal and Arturo “Tito” Leal.
Family will be receiving friends and relatives today, at 5 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, with Pastor John Brady officiating of The Family Church in McAllen. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., January 12, 2012 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
