LUIS MALDONADO LEAL
PHARR – Luis Maldonado Leal, 74, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Mr. Leal was born in Morelia, Mexico and lived in Pharr most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Nelly C. Maldonado of Pharr; eight children, Luis Antonio Maldonado Caballero of Edinburg, Juan Manuel Maldonado Caballero of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jose Maldonado Caballero of McAllen, Ramiro Maldonado Caballero of Alamo, Maria Nelly Maldonado Garza of Austin, Raul Maldonado Caballero of Pharr, Rafael Maldonado Caballero of Hidalgo, Aidee Maldonado Bustamante of Austin; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Angel Maldonado Leal of McAllen; and a sister, Maria Auxilio Maldonado Cahuanzi of Tlaxcala, Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, January 26, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
