ALFREDO DE LEON EDINBURG - Alfredo De Leon, 67, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in San Juan, TX, Mr. De Leon lived in Edinburg and worked with Time Warner Cable for 31 years. He lived a good, full life surrounded by family and friends. Mr. De Leon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs but mostly loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his laugh, his love of dancing, his work ethic, and always putting others first. Mr. De Leon “Gramps” will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael De Leon and Dolores Luna, his brothers, Mario (Irma) De Leon and Gene De Leon. He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Norma De Leon, his brother, Alonso (Dolores) De Leon, and his sister Yolanda. He is survived by his sons Alfredo (Ashleigh) De Leon, Jr. and Edward (Nanette) Rodriguez; his daughters, Cindy (Dean) Brown and Sylvia (Baldo) Cervantes. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. talk Suday, July 14, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
