SEVERO DE LEON SR.
PHARR – Severo De Leon Sr., 64, died Wednesday, February 08, 2012, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in San Diego, Texas, Mr. De Leon lived in Pharr all of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam. Mr. De Leon enjoyed fishing, car racing and playing pool.
He is preceded in death by his son, Severo De Leon, Jr.
Mr. De Leon is survived by his wife, Thelma De Leon; two daughters, Yesenia De Leon (Guillermo) Lechuga, Sandy De Leon; three grandsons, Martin De Leon, Tony De Leon, Guillermo Lechuga, Jr.; one granddaughter, Kristella Samantha De Leon, all of Pharr; a brother, Santiago Garcia, of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews from Rockport and Lubbock, Texas.
A rosary was held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. today, February 10, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
