LEONOR LEZAMA EDINBURG/CORPUS CHRISTI – Leonor Lezama, 88, passed peacefully in her sleep and into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Angel Bright Hospice in Corpus Christi. She was born on April 19, 1924 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was the second of nine, born to Valeriano and Isabel Rocha. She frequently attended Ground Zero Biker Church in Corpus Christi. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Jose Lezama, before his passing in 2008; and a brother, Francisco Rocha. Mrs. Lezama is survived by seven children, Sylvia Garza, Jesse Lezama, Ester L. (Jeffrey) Churchill, Lucy Fernandez, all of Corpus Christi, TX, Adela Dalto, of New York, NY, Sally Carpio, of Mexico City, MX, Luis Lezama, of East Chicago, IN; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Christina Garcia, of Yakima, WA, Ester Guerrero, of Schererville, IN, Elvira Alaniz, of Donna; four brothers, Ismael (Gloria) Rocha, of Chicago, IL, Armando (Minerva) Rocha, of Portage, IN, Rudy (Gloria) Rocha, of McAllen and Henry (Martina) Rocha, of Schererville, IN; and a sister-in-law, Adelina Rocha, of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, February 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
