RICHARD S. LIEG
ALAMO- Richard S. Lieg, 83, died January 24, 2012 at McAllen Medical Center.
Mr. Lieg was born on February 12, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Sylvester and Kathryn (Suprise) Lieg. On May 1, 1954, he was united in marriage to Dorothy L. Schlessinger. Richard served with the U.S. Army in Korea 1950 to 1952. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6498 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Kathryn Lieg; a sister, Charlotte Frantel.
Mr. Lieg is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Lieg of Alamo; a daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Volgmann of West Bend, Wisconsin; a son, Michael Lieg of St. Francis, Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
