OFELIA DE LUNA LIZCANO
PHARR - Ofelia De Luna Lizcano, 77, of Pharr, TX, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Colonial Manor Advanced Rehab and Healthcare in Pharr. Born on September 10, 1940, in Goliad, Texas, she was the daughter of Antonio and Rosa De Luna.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roel Lizcano, Sr.; her parents, Antonio De Luna, Jr. and Rosa Villarreal De Luna; and a brother, Antonio De Luna, III.
Ofelia was married to Roel Lizcano for 49 beautiful years and not a day went by that she did not miss him. Mrs. Lizcano co-owned Lizcano Building Products and Lizcano Apartments with her husband for over 45 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pharr. She loved spending time with her children and would light up with the sight of her grandchildren whom she loved tremendously. She will be terribly missed by all those who knew her.
Mrs. Lizcano is survived by three children, Rebecca Lizcano-Gazca, Roel Lizcano, Jr., Robert (Belinda) Lizcano, all of Pharr; five grandchildren, Phillip Michael Gazca , Pamela Michelle Gazca, Robert Andrew Lizcano, Patrick Mathew Gazca, Megan Alyssa Lizcano; two sisters, Ofilia (Victor) Castillo of San Juan, and Olivia (Jesus) Trevino of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Pallbearers will be Antonio Castillo, Aaron Castillo, Idelfonso Ruiz, Julio Olvera Ponce, Augustin Maduna and Mario Lizcano, Jr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
