EDINBURG - Elma G. Longoria, 66, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at her residence in Edinburg.
Elma born to Jose and Margarita Longoria on December 18, 1949. She was a lifelong resident of Edinburg and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School, class of 1968. Elma had been employed by and retired from Edinburg Regional Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Margarita Longoria; a sister, Thelma Salinas; a brother, Jose "Rosie" Longoria; and Onesimo Arevalo.
Elma is survived by her brother-in-law, Fausto Salinas; her sister-in-law, Eva Longoria; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed and loved by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, September 30, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. There will be no burial services conducted.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
