ALFONCINA "NINA" LOPEZ
SAN JUAN - Alfoncina "Nina" Lopez, 73, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at her residence in San Juan.
Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Mrs. Lopez had lived in San Juan for 24 years and was formerly of Pharr. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Timoteo Lopez.
Mrs. Lopez is survived by eight children, Mario (Maricruz) Lopez, of Pharr, Joe (Elizabeth) Lopez, Rosie Lopez, Tim Lopez, all of San Juan, Jesse (Anna) Lopez, Frank (Aimee) Lopez, both of McAllen, Pete Lopez, of Mission, Tony (Laura) Lopez, of Weslaco; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, Efren Martinez, Eloy Martinez, Juan Martinez, Felipe Martinez, Etelvina Martinez, Juani Martinez, Guadalupe Ruiz and Jaime Martinez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, August 2, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
