CARMEN LOPEZ
PHARR - Carmen Lopez, 98, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at San Juan Nursing Home.
Born in Burgos, Tamps., Mexico, Mrs. Lopez had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Lopez; a grandson, Jesus Lopez, Jr.; three sisters; and four brothers.
Mrs. Lopez is survived by two sons, Jesus (Dalia) Lopez, Israel Lopez, both of Pharr; three daughters, Manuela (Rogelio) Alaniz of McAllen, Mercedes McKane of Mission and Aide Lopez of Pharr; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, August 9, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment of cremated remains will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Palm Valley Memorial Garden in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
