Diamantina G. Lopez, 76, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her son, Rene Olivarez, Jr.; parents, Chale Garza and Gila Gonzalez; two sisters, Gracie Garza, Hilma Mariscal; and a brother, Charlie Garza, Jr.
Mrs. Lopez is survived by her husband, Trinidad Lopez; three children, Sandra (Raul) Martinez, Joanna Olivarez, Cipriano (Crystal) Olivarez; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three siblings, Cory Ramirez, Josie Salinas, Reynaldo Garza; four step-children, Edward Lopez, Yvonne Lopez, Mark Anthony Lopez, Laura Renteria; and lots of nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2022, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
