PHARR - Elva A. Lopez, 96, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at her residence in Pharr.
Mrs. Lopez was an employee at the department of Health for 30 years, and was always there when you needed her. She loved life, traveling and helping others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Apolonio and Cruz Alvarado; three brothers, Samuel, Saul, and Abel Cuellar.
Elva is survived by her two daughters, Elidia Lopez of Pharr and Maria B. (Jerry) Willey of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary today, February 2, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
