JOSE ALFREDO LOPEZ, JR. PHARR – Jose Alfredo Lopez, Jr., 37, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, in McAllen. Born in Lubbock, TX, Mr. Lopez had lived in Pharr most of his life. Jose is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rosendo G. Lopez. He is survived by two daughters, Keixa M. Lopez of Carrizo Springs, TX, Anahi K. Lopez, and step daughter Elizabeth O. Miranda of McAllen; father, Jose Alfredo Lopez of Edinburg; mother, Cecilia Lucero of Pharr; three brothers, Roger (Sindee) Lopez of McAllen, Cristobal I. Lopez of Pharr, and Alberto R. (Ashley Mosman) Lopez of Dallas, TX; one sister, Joanna I. (Albert) Yamoah of Dallas, TX; one niece, Destinee R. Lopez of McAllen; paternal grandmother, Petra Lopez of El Paso, TX; maternal grandparents, Jesus and Antonia Lucero of El Paso, TX. Joe Jr. was a loving father and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and especially his beloved Texas Tech Red Raiders. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. celebration of life today, August 7, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
