DETROIT, MI/PHARR - Roberto Lopez, 48, died Monday, February 14, 2011 in Michigan.
Born to his mother, Lucila Lopez Leos, Mr. Lopez was raised by his parents, Raymundo and Virginia Lopez. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Detroit and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymundo Lopez Sr.; stepfather, Amado Leos; and a brother, Refugio Lopez.
Mr. Lopez is survived by his mother, Lucila Leos; maternal grandmother, Virginia Lopez; brothers and sisters, Catalina Godina, Guadalupe Lopez, Lala Garza, Oralia Torres, Raymundo Lopez, Geronimo Lopez, Virginia Luna, Josie Lopez, Frank Lopez, Juan Lopez, Sylvia Leos, Lydia Rojas, Sandra Saavedra, Ana Bertha Chavez, Norma Leos; six half brothers; and three half brothers.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, February 20, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Monday, February 21, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
