DELMAR ELIAS “HERB” / “OCEAN” LOZANO PHARR - Delmar Elias “Herb” “Ocean” Lozano, 44, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Christus Spohn Hospital in Kingsville, Texas. Born in McAllen, Mr. Lozano had lived in Pharr most of his life and was formerly of Tonganoxie, Kansas. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr and Past President of the Booze Fighters Motorcycle Club in Kansas. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Manuela Gonzalez; and his paternal grandparents, Crescencio and Barbara Lozano. Delmar is survived by a son, Christian Lozano of Alamo; his mother, Cristina G. Gunter of Pharr; his father, Crescencio A. Lozano, Jr. of Alamo; four sisters, Cyn-Dee (Tom) Jones of Corpus Christi, Judith M. Lozano of Colorado, Laura (Armando) Salazar of Pharr, Kathleen A. Lozano of Austin; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a foster daughter, Sarha Rodriguez of Pharr. A rosary will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. today, November 19, 2014, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Interment of cremated remains will be announced at a later date. Pallbearers will be, Christian Lozano, Steve Almedariz, Isaac Ledesma,Jr., Kenneth Justice, Tuy Gonzalez, and Christopher Rios. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
